Higher than normal but pretty steady with decent clarity is how I would sum up conditions on Pool 4 right now.
We have covered a lot of water in the last month but have been able to stay in the river most of the time. As we suspected they would, the river stretches stayed consistent after the extended ultrahigh water we had in late June/early July. This seems to always replenish the system, so to speak, with a new or at least hungry batch of fish.
We have leaned heavily on bait pulled behind a bottom bouncer to catch solid numbers most every day. As you can see below we have had a number of big fish show up in catches as well. When in these river stretches we are targeting areas that are less than 15 feet deep and many times less than 10.
I don't talk about equipment a lot but almost daily get comments from people in my boat about many of the products I use. I can honestly attest to the fact that every brand you see listed in the tags under the pictures of every report are things I not only use but would hate to do without. From rods and reels to Jigs and line to batteries, electronics, boat, motors, sunglasses and all the other gear that I wear. Some are small things and others are big items but all are a part of the system that makes my operation run smoothly.
We should be set up for a good bite for quite a while with water conditions where they are at now. This should push us right into the Fall bite that never disappoints.
Thanks to all the visitors that came in for a visit in the past month.
