Low level and flow, water temps a little high but falling for this time of year sum up the conditions right now.
We have now navigated through the late summer and are getting into the early Fall period.
The August/September stretch was one for the books with numbers of fish nearly every trip. Definitely a product of the extremely high water we had in June. You can set your clock by this every time we have a high-water event. The months following are always very good.
My three go to patterns for summer are dragging jigs/bait, Pulling crankbaits and bottom bouncers/bait. All three had long stretches of success this summer. Matching each technique with the area and conditions is the biggest variable we face.
We are in the transition from summer to Fall right now. The bite has been inconsistent as of late but should get really good in the very near future. Water temps are dropping and it is October.
